2025 UMNH Repository Agreement
Important Notice: Applicants must read all the following instructions carefully. Failure to follow these requirements may result in your application not being processed.
The Natural History Museum of Utah (UMNH) is the State-designated repository for archaeological and paleontological collections obtained under permit from Utah state lands, as outlined in Utah Administrative Code R807-1. UMNH also curates federal collections. Whether a collection is accepted for curation is determined by the Museum’s formally adopted Collections Management Policy (CMP) and in accordance with Utah State law. All materials must be prepared and submitted following the CMP and the guidelines in Preparing Collections for Reposit.
Application Requirements
Your application will be processed only after all components are received:
- Completed application form with information on your firm’s most recent agreement
- Payment
- CVs for both the applicant and Principal Investigator(s), If not submitted in the last 3 years, or if your organization has changed
- CVs must be in PDF format (Word or other formats will not be accepted).
- Include: work history with dates and current contact information.
- You may reply to the confirmation email after checkout to submit or update this information.
Special Instructions
- Agreements are valid through December 31 of the application year.
- Always use the latest forms from our Forms & Policies page — outdated versions will not be accepted.
- Applying for both Archaeology and Geology/Paleontology?
- Set quantity to 2 and complete all required fields for both, including separate PI details.
- Applying on behalf of a firm with multiple offices?
