Partner Camp with Clever Octopus
Join us as we create art inspired by several artist we admire using reclaimed fabric, found objects, loads of foam, wood blocks, wire, and other materials destined for the landfill. Inspired by Lucy Sparrow and Holly Levell, we'll create squishy soft food; motivated by artist Bryant Holsenbeck, we’ll fashion our own wrapped fabric animals; and after learning more about the art of Serena Garcia Dalla Venezia and Judith Scott, we’ll design textile sculptures. We'll roll, wrap, stuff, stitch, staple, glue, and even bring out the hand crank sewing machines! Come prepared to be outside each day under shade tents—We promise, we'll keep cool with plenty of water and squirt guns. Drop off and pick up take place at NHMU. This is an outdoor camp that will take place around the Museum site.
