BugFest Workshop: Terrarium Design

Join Marissa Harrison, Chief Entomologist at Thanksgiving Point, in learning all about building the perfect home for insects!

Terrarium Design attendees will learn about the process of designing a terrarium that takes into account the needs of the animals and the desire of the viewer to observe those fascinating animals! After introducing the design process, we'll review some case studies of terrariums designed for a variety of invertebrates.

In the second half of the workshop, attendees will be provided with materials to assemble a small terrarium that they can take home — stocked with their own adorable invertebrate decomposers.

• This workshop is open to all—adults and children are welcome! 

• Each person attending must have their own ticket, as one set of supplies will be provided per ticket holder. 

• Children must be accompanied by an adult who also has a ticket.
