The Poetry of Field Journals Workshop Series

Scientists have recorded their work in field journals for hundreds of years. By writing down and sketching what one encounters, evidence is preserved immediately upon discovery. For the amateur naturalist, keeping a field journal can be a reminder to slow down, look closely, and delight in each new observation. 

We invite you to discover the beauty and poetry of field journals in this four-part series. Guests must register for all four programs. All materials included. Participants must be at least 18 years old. Space is limited. 

The four workshops are:

• Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. — Field Journal Workshop
• Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. — Nature Sketching
• Saturday, May 11, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. — Nature Walk
• Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. — Nature Poetry
