ScienceFest Workshop: The Chemistry of Smell: Building a Scent, Molecule by Molecule

The Chemistry of Smell explores how molecules create the scents we perceive and how our brains make sense of the world through smell. Using the scent of a flower as a hands-on example, perfumer Dimitri Allouch of HEXEH shows how single aroma molecules can combine into something richer, blending science with the art of perfumery. Attendees will smell individual components, then build their own simple accord to take home.

This workshop is recommended for participants 16 years of age and older. It requires patience and focus.
