BugFest Workshop: Small Bug Sculpture and Terrarium
Join us at the Natural History Museum of Utah for an exciting BugFest workshop!
In this workshop you will learn how to make your own small scale insect sculptures and install them into a terrarium you fill with local dried plants. We will start the workshop with making a wire armature to build our clay sculptures onto. After finishing your insects, we will arrange an environment to house them in.
This is just one of many activities happening on August 8-9 at BugFest — a two-day, insect-themed festival in Salt Lake City. Admission to BugFest is included with these workshop fees! No other ticket is required.
- This workshop is open to all — adults and children 10+ are welcome! (Please note: this workshop requires patience and fine motor skills.)
- Each participant must have their own workshop ticket, as one set of supplies will be provided per ticket holder.
- Children 10 and under must be accompanied by a chaperone. If chaperones are not also participating in the workshop, they will NOT need to register for the workshop; however, chaperones will still be required to purchase a ticket to BugFest.
